On February 28th, Brooklyn’s sludge rockers Mr. Dream will follow up last year’s debut LP, Trash Hit, with a new seven-track EP, Fatherland. While we’re still a few weeks away, the band has issued two cuts off the EP with “What a Mess” and “The Room” (via Stereogum). Both sport thudding percussion, ominous riffage, and dusty production, essentially recalling the late ’80s/early ’90′s vibes their debut echoed. Take a listen to both tracks below, and check out the band’s forthcoming itinerary alongside fellow garage rockers Cloud Nothings.
