Before Chaz Bundick (aka Toro Y Moi) was chillwave king, he was making your standard lo-fi guitar pop. Now, according to an issued press release, a number of his early recordings will be collected in a new 7″ vinyl box set. Entitled June 2009, the set collects 10 tracks taken from (when else?) June 2009, including the surf-tastic “Dead Pontoon”, which you can download below.

June 2009 is out April 24th via Carpark. In addition to the vinyl set, the release will be available digitally and on CD. Check out the tracklist and Toro Y Moi’s upcoming tour dates below, as well.
