Despite “what the Mayans say”, 2012 has been a delectable year – especially for pop (or, it will be). Madonna’s performing at the ol’ Super Bowl, Little Boots appears ready to release a new LP, and acts like Ellie Goulding continue to shake things up. Like, last night for example, when she swung by Letterman to shimmy along to a reworked cut of “Lights”. Let’s get this out of the way: She’s sexy. Her performance here acts as a 400 pg dissertation to back that statement; however, she also oozes of talent. It’s one thing to sing a song, another to sing the song. One can learn a lot from this little clip – that is, if they weren’t already drinking the punch. Thanks, Audio Perv. You did it.
