The latest endeavor from New York production group High5Collective is a disheartening music video for The Weeknd‘s “Montreal”, from the Echoes of Silence mixtape. The clip centers around a young girl, her creepy father/step-father, emotionally unavilable mother, and pyromaniac brother/step-brother. The resulting blur of imagery, fueled by the girl’s drug use, is a look at the decay of the nuclear family, with the ambiguous ending left to the viewer to decide the family’s ultimate fate.
