If last night’s any indication, David Letterman knows how to tweet. So, it makes sense he’d nab a buzz band – more specifically, Manchester’s own WU LYF. After attempting to trend Brian Williams, The Late Show host finally introduced the UK quartet to audiences nationwide. They arrived, albeit scruffy and unintelligible, and hammered out an emotional cut of “Heavy Pop”, one of many sky reaching climbers off last year’s incisive debut, Go Tell Fire to the Mountain. Maybe it was the first time jitters, but rather comically the group disappeared afterwards before Letterman could even hang out with ‘em. Well, that’s partially true, vocalist Ellery James Roberts stuck around to shake his hand. What a guy. Based on everyone’s reaction, however, this won’t be the last time the boys hit the late night circuit. Fallon, were you watching? If you weren’t, catch it below, courtesy of The Audio Perv.
