Avant synth-pop outfit Xiu Xiu‘s track “Hi”, the first single from their upcoming eighth studio album Always, celebrates the band’s musical makeup over the last decade. The song’s accompanying music video, on the other hand, clearly celebrates someone learning to edit in Final Cut Pro for the first time. Said clip features a literal cornucopia of random, oddly edited imagery, including, but not limited to, kittens, abstract paintings, fire, food, balloons, burning stuffed animals, and shots of the group eating apples. It’s as if a family of pyrophiliacs and sexual deviants decided to make a home movie; watch it for yourself below.
