On the flip side of Andrew Bird’s “EyeonEye” 7″ single is a cover of Alpha Consumer’s “The Crown Salesman”. As BPM points out, the cover is now up for streaming at Bird’s Facebook page. It’s also available to download for members of BandRx.

Hailing from the Twin Cities, Alpha Consumer is comprised of Bird’s longtime backing band members Jeremy Ylvisaker and Michael Lewis — so there’s the connection. Hear what their version of “The Crown Salesman” sounds like on Bandcamp.

Bird’s “EyeonEye” 7″ single is out now. His new LP, Break It Yourself, is out March 6th via Mom + Pop Music.
