The Cribs have written you a new anthem, Chicago. (Random side note: Best Chicago song ever?) As Listen Before You Buy points out, the UK outfit has just debuted “Chi-Town”, the first offering from their Steve Albini-fueled new LP. It’s pretty punk rock, seems like a great singalong for when in a drunken stooper (can’t wait to try this out tonight Friday), and name checks Logan Square more than once. Check it out at SoundCloud. Update: Download the mp3 below (via SPIN).
Update: According to an issued press release, The Cribs new LP, entitled In the Belly of the Brazen Bull, is out May 8th via Wichita Recordings. Along with Albini, the band recorded with MGMT/Flaming Lips producer David Fridmann in New York. The band plans to tour in support with dates in the U.S. set for April.
