Codeine announces reunion tour dates

As previously reported, New York’s slowcore outfit Codeine has reunited for a “very limited series” of tour dates through the U.S., U.K., and Europe. With spots already confirmed for ATP events in Tokyo and London plus the Primavera Sound festivals in Spain and Portugal, the band has now revealed the full itinerary for their promised tour. Together again after 18 years, Codeine has regrouped to support the reissuing of their three studio albums. Due for release on May 22nd release via Numero Group, the double-disc sets come packed with with singles, demos, live recordings, and other rarities, as well as liner notes and essays by The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd, Love Child’s Alan Licht, and Sub Pop’s Jonathan Poneman. There will also be a limited-edition box set comprising all three reissues. A preview video for the releases is below, and pre-orders are now ongoing.
