Deer Tick announces new EP: Tim

By Michael Roffman on February 24th, 2012 in News

On February 28th, Deer Tick will follow up last year’s beer-battered release, Divine Providence, with a new EP via Partisan Records. Titled Tim (no relation to The Replacements, right?), the four-track collection sports unreleased material from the Divine sessions, including an acoustic rendition of past single, “Main Street”. As a press release indicates, this version of “Main Street” captures McCauley playing it for the first time, as he had finished writing it only minutes before recording. An aural butcher might call this piece of meat “rare.”

The EP will be available digitally first on February 29th, and then as a 10″ vinyl on the band’s forthcoming spring tour. Rdio.com has the full stream this week, however. Check out the full tracklist below, in addition to the band’s Letterman performance of “Main Street” shortly after.

Tim EP Tracklisting:
01. Born at Zero
02. When It All Falls Down
03. Virginia Gal
04. She’s Not Spanish
05. Main Street (Acoustic)
