EMI to reissue Morrissey’s Viva Hate

EMI will soon reissue Morrissey’s debut solo album, 1988′s Viva Hate, as Pitchfork reports. Due out March 26th, the set was remastered by original producer Stephen Street, and includes previously unreleased photographs by Jake Walters and Kevin Cummins, along with liner notes by Chrissie Hynde (of The Pretenders). It should be noted that the reissue will include the song “Treat Me Like a Human Being” in lieu of “The Ordinary Boys”.

EMI will also issue a Record Store Day exclusive single of Sparks members Ron and Russell Mael’s remix of “Suedehead”. The limited-edition 10″ picture disc will also include two previously unreleased BBC live recordings of “We’ll Let You Know” and “Now My Heart is Full”, which both date back to 1995.
