oOoOO announces sophomore EP: Our Love Is Hurting Us

By Chris Coplan on February 1st, 2012 in New Music, News, Tour Dates

San Francisco musician Chris Dexter Greenspan (aka oOoOO) is often considered, alongside acts like Salem and Pictureplane, to be one of the purveyors of the witch house movement (the oOoOO name actually means “witch house” in the language of ghosts). Following up its 2010 self-titled EP, oOoOO will return on April 10th with a new EP, Our Love Is Hurting Us, via Tri Angle Records.

As an early taste, check out the track “NoWayBack”, which features Berlin/Brooklyn doomtempo artist Butterclock. Butterclock’s ultra-ethereal vocals are matched up with the rumble and thud of heavy drums and percussion. And besides the tweaky effects at the end, this affair is more gothy synthpop than straight witch house.

Our Love Is Hurting Us Tracklist:
01. TryTry
02. Springs (featuring Butterclock)
03. Starr
04. Break Yr Heart
05. NoWayBack (featuring Butterclock)
