Still Flyin’ details sophomore album: On A Bedroom Wall

Some musical mega-groups come to “heal and save mankind.” Others, like California’s Still Flyin’, are here to just bring us a good time. Formed in 2004 after founder Sean Rawls’ indie pop outfit Masters of the Hemisphere dispersed, Still Flyin’ features nine core members and a congregation of what they refer to as “spiritual members.” In 2009, they dropped their ultra-positive debut, Never Gonna Touch the Ground, and now they’re set for a sophomore followup.

Due May 22nd via Ernest Jenning, On A Bedroom Wall seeks to tighten the band’s self-described “hammjamm” sound (Wiki definition: “when a good time gets better”). For an early taste, check out “Cleat Talking”. With a funky backbone and lyrics about achieving non-intellectual success (“I ain’t no Stephen Hawking/my cleats do all the talkin’”), the track is available to hear and download below.
