vernon roots Video: Justin Vernon and The Roots play extended Perth

While in New York recently, Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon stopped by the Jimmy Fallon studios. While there, he teamed up with The Roots for an eight-minute, improvised jam-out of Bon Iver, Bon Ivers “Perth”. For whatever reason, the performance never made it to TV; instead, it’s available below as a web exclusive (via Fallon’s blog):

You’re missing out, Grammys.

Like it a lot.  This WI kid is just spreading his wings musically, and he’s getting to do it with some phenomenally talented people.

What? The auto tune was so tasteful and added a lot to the vibe. Beautiful performance, and honestly, what more at this point can be said about The Roots. Just wonderful.
