UK songwriter Laura Marling returns with a new video off her recent LP, A Creature I Don’t Know. It’s for the folksy runner, “All My Rage”, and it’s pretty eerie. If you’ve ever seen Child’s Play, The Twilight Zone, or that one traumatic vignette in Tales from the Hood, and you had trouble sleeping after, then “All My Rage” might actually live up to its name for you. In the video, Marling sings from what appears to be one of those crummy antique shops that only sells 19th century toys (sorry, no vintage Star Wars figures), and one by one each trinket comes to life. There’s a moment when the head of a decapitated doll opens its eyes that will no doubt scar this writer for years to come.
