Last night’s lesson: There are always other options. While several late night viewers checked into Letterman to re-witness Lana Del Rey, Nas stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform his “latest” single “Nasty”. Though, the New York rapper didn’t just stroll down the street to 30 Rock; instead, he traveled all the way to Indianapolis, where Fallon’s been broadcasting in light of Sunday’s big game. Talk about a fish outta water story, eh? Despite the lack of a hometown crowd, the iconic rapper stalked the stage and conjured up a familiar ruckus. (By the way, if you were wondering who he’s rooting for in the Super Bowl, check out his head.) With support from The Roots, Nas knocked out the six month old track with new found fury. One can only hope that with a collaborative roster reportedly including Salaam Remi and Jay Electronica that Nas’ final studio album with Def Jam Records packs this much heat.
