When Tool frontman/vineyard owner Maynard Jaymes Keenan was readying the next Puscifer album, he described the content of what would become Conditions of My Parole as “Twin Peaks in the desert.” The music video for “Telling Ghosts” is, rather unfortunately, not a direct implementation of that claim; even still, its dark, pseudo-noir vibe, performance shots that shutter and shake with real-life emotion, and transcendental-yet-awkward dance moves is as Lynch-ian in theory as any one band might ever achieve.
