Portland electro-pop duo YACHT have found the location of the fabled Shangri-La in the eponymous music video. It’s not hidden in some Tibetan mountain range nor is it under the Turkish desert; it’s Los Angeles itself (dun dun dun!) In this urban utopia, the band and their assorted compatriots consume delicious frozen treats, drive around on freeways unhindered by traffic, commune in the park with bonding and trust activities, adorn their bodies with poorly-plotted tattoos, and enjoy peaceful campfires on the beach. To think, all you have to do to enjoy paradise is live under a smog cloud and make obscene, borderline criminal mortgage payments. Watch the video below.
