For all the griping and daydreaming us nine-to-fivers do, try imagining a band’s life on the road, away from the simplicity of home, for months on end. Canadian indie rockers Yukon Blonde seem to be feeling that homeward lust in their new video for “Stairway”, off their upcoming sophomore LP, Tiger Talk.

Having been on tour for nearly a year (and still South by Southwest bound), the quartet fantasizes about going back to their Vancouver apartments and just, well, cleaning. Who’d a-thunk you’d ever miss doing the dishes? Yukon Blonde sticks to the “no place like home” mentality – even when it’s infested with non-ravenous zombies. Yukon Blonde’s follow-up to their Polaris Prize-nominated, self-titled debut, Tiger Talk, is due out March 20th from Dine Alone Records.
