Pub rock icon Nick Lowe hasn’t shot a music video in some 18 years (when grunge and flannel ruled the world). So, it’s only fitting that his long-awaited return to video on “Sensitive Man” would be a cinematic slice of fried gold. The star-studded clip features comedian/podcaster Marc Maron taking a sensitivity class led by Tim Heidecker and populated by the likes of Robyn Hitchcock, Lowe’s own son, and members of Wilco. What ensues is a mess of rainbow-colored auras, gorillas masks, and slightly unnerving “Rollover Whispers”. Get in touch with your inner nice guy by watching below (via NPR).
Lowe’s latest album, The Old Magic, is out now via Yep Roc.
