In a recent interview with Pitchfork, Dive frontman Zachary Cole Smith revealed that Nirvana’s “Dive” is “actually about us” (explains the band name if nothing else). How fitting, then, that one day after the anniversary of frontman Kurt Cobain’s death, Dive would cover Cobain’s pre-Nirvana home demo Bambi Slaughter”. Dive’s debut album, Oshin, hits stores on June 26th via Captured Tracks.
