How does Green Day plan to follow up two straight concept albums? With a trilogy. According to an issued press release, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡TrĂ©! will be released by Reprise Records on September 25th, November 13th, and January 15th, respectively. The albums are being recorded in the band’s hometown of Oakland, California with long-time producer Rob Cavallo.

Based on the live clips to surface over the last year, Green Day’s new material appears to skew away from concept-heavy material in favor of a more vintage, Nimrod-era sound. Check out performances of “Carpe Diem” and “Cigarettes and Valentines” below.

Hey, as long as they’re not working with that Broadway cast. I swear the last few times I saw them on TV, it was them and that cast..

Oh please no. If thoes two clips are anything to go by Just like many third albums this is going to be the “Best of the B sides”  Surely they have matured slightly and gained some wisdom. If they have its not reflected in their music.
