After premiering earlier this year at Sundance, the LCD Soundsystem film Shut Up and Play the Hits will screen in theaters across the country this summer. A chronicle of the band’s final days, the film will be distributed by Oscilloscope Laboratories, the production and distribution company of the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch (MCA). According to a press release, each screening will be “special one-night-only engagements”; a full list of showtimes and participating theaters will be announced shortly.
