John Frusciante Letur Lefr PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone Check Out: John Frusciante Glowe

It’s a busy summer for John Frusciante. As previously reported, the guitar virtuoso/ex-Chili Pepper will release a new solo EP, Letur-Lefr, on July 17th, which will be followed by a full-length LP, PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone, on September 24th. One of the EP’s five tracks, “Glowe”, is currently available as a free download for those who pre-order at Frusciante’s website (via Antiquiet). It’s a short cut, clocking in at just over a minute, but it does offer a quick snapshot into what he’s cooking up. Stream it below.

Letur-Lefr and PBX Funicular Intaglio Zone will be available on vinyl, CD, cassette and in 32 bit, FLAC and MP3 digital.

Its definitely different and if u don’t like it thats fine but don’t act like John is wrong for making this type of music. Its what he wants to make. His album is gonna be totally different from the EP anyway. I love this new song. Its a blend of different genres and he blends them well. I look forward to hearing the full length song.

…hey john, i’ve allways been a really, really, REALLY, big fan of you and your music, your days in the peppers and all of your solo stuff, since i’ve really started getting into music about seven years ago… you and your music have gotten me trough a lot of tough times and i’ve allways bought all of your records in a heartbeat. but hearing this stuff really breaks my heart, ’cause i’ve allways loved your godlike melodies, and your songs have been like anthems from heaven to me… to be honest, to me this sounds like a crazy radio station discjockey getting lost on acid… i know it’s crazy to say that after hearing a 1:30 track, but i really really REALLY hope your new records aren’t gonna be all this way… in love, tom
