Question of the Day: What Music Biopic Do You Want To See Made?

questionoftheday1 Question of the Day: What Music Biopic Do You Want To See Made?

Today, the estate of guitar god Jimi Hendrix came out against an upcoming Andre 3000-starring biopic, effectively denying the project original music or the necessary copyrights. As disappointing as this news may be, it’s another in a long line of delays for musical biopics (see: Jerry Garcia, Marvin Gaye, and Janis Joplin).

If legal issues and other mitigating factors weren’t a concern, what famous musician’s life would you want to see receive the Hollywood treatment? Would you want a film on the life of someone iconic, like Diana Ross or Neil Young? Or would focusing on more modern-day stars like Beyoncé or Kings of Leon get your butt into the theater? Let us know what band/singer you’d be most interested to see up on the silver screen and how you’d like to see their tale go down.

A Replacements movie that is actually about the band, and doesn’t involve Keanu Reeves would be pretty great.

A biopic following a band or the bands involved in the infamous Norwegian Black Metal scene would be very cool.

Bradly Nowell. If I could bring one person back from the dead- just one person, it would be him. Sorry Grandma.

What happened to the Michael Hurchence one? Wasn’t it in production at one point?

I still wanna see Vinny Chase play Joey Ramone. I was pretty excited about it until Bob sold it to Warner Bros.
