questionoftheday Question of the Day: Your Favorite Album from April?

Starting today, the CoS News Department is installing a popular, long-standing tradition throughout publications across the world: the Question of the Day. At the end of each day, we’ll pose a question pertaining to something in the news that hopefully inspire your thoughts and musings on a particular event or a developing trend. It’s our aim to further facilitate discussion in order to make the most out of your CoS experience. Consider it a little like homework, only not boring and far more important.

From the sophomore albums of Nicki Minaj and Santigold, to new LPs by Spiritualized and The Dandy Warhols, to Jack White’s grand “debut”, April 2012 proved to be a pretty big month for music. What was your favorite album of April? Was it one of those efforts, or perhaps something that garnered less critical fervor? Tell us what made your April 2012 worthwhile and how it earned its special place within your playlist.

Leave your comments below. You can also tweet us @coslive with the hashtag #CoSQotD or post something on our Facebook page.

No love for Screaming Females in the comments or the story? They’re in the running for album of the year.

I wouldn’t read too much into the examples we gave. After all, look at our score for Santigold lol.

My view of them has been for a while that if they got a new vocalist, they would be huge. Until then, to me, they’re a trainwreck.

Even though Miike Snow’s album ‘Happy To You’ dropped on March 13, it didn’t grow on me until early April.

Agree – Miike Snow’s CD took one month for me to like as well.
