Indie rap guru Aesop Rock keeps it simple in the music video for “Zero Dark Thirty”, dropping verses while the wall he sits against is painted over and over again in superfast time-lapse fashion. Uncomplicated premise aside, there’s loads of subtext to be found, like how Aesop’s still in the streets, or how regardless of the way things change around him, he’s the one stoic constant. That, or the man just really loves him some mural art. Watch the video below.
Aesop’s first album in five years, Skelethon, will hit stores on July 10th via Rhymesayers.
