Swedish proto-punk upstarts Holograms just released “Monolith”, the opening track from their upcoming self-titled debut. Whereas our first listen, “Chasing My Mind”, demonstrated the band’s electronic tendencies, this more voluminous number is like a hardcore version of The Cure, emphasizing noisy guitars, cutting bass, and loads of angst and fury.
