Fans of R.E.M. will be pleased to know that Peter Buck plans to release his debut solo album in the near future (title and date still forthcoming). Yesterday, the LP’s first track premiered on Diane’s Kamikaze Fun Machine on New Jersey radio station WFMU. Titled “10 Million BC”, the sludgy, blues rocker sounds like an off shoot of Tom Waits, and yes, that’s a good thing. It’s stuffed with grimy guitars, lonesome keys, and a couple of howls to boot, too. Check it out below (via Slicing Up Eyeballs).
