We also feature an interview between Consequence of Sound’s Len Comaratta and Felix Martin, a member of the UK dance rock band Hot Chip. As the band prepared to release In Our Heads, their fifth studio album, Martin and I talked about working with producer and long-time friend Mark Ralph, how the band has maintained its solid relationship over ten years, and the influences of Zappa, soul, and Connie Mack, as well as what defines Hot Chip’s signature sound.
