With the release of Sun now less than a month away, Chan Marshall (AKA Cat Power) calls on producer Nicolas Jaar to give an atmospheric reworking of the the album’s second single “Cherokee”. To do so, Jaar strips the original’s piano and drum parts in favor of an organ, making Marshall’s vocals all that more haunting.
