Categorically prolific garage rocker Ty Segall will release his third album of 2012, Twins, on October 9th via Drag City. Earlier this year he released Hair, a collaboration with the band White Fence, and Slaughterhouse, made with his own band. Twins follows as his solo project, and to add to the irony of the title, the first voice you hear on the lead-off single “The Hill” is an airy women’s voice, layered and echoed. Then Segall comes in sounding like Lennon with a train to catch. Check out the track, and fall tour dates with fraternal psych rockers Thee Oh Sees below.
“The Hill” will also be released on 7″, b/w ”Mother Lemonade”. You can pre-order the physical and digital copy here.
