“A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.” -Willy Wonka
Bill Fay feat. Jeff Tweedy – “This World”
It’s been 40 years since Bill Fay’s last album. You’d think after all that time he’d have a little bigger budget for this music video. Nevertheless, some Super 8 footage and a projection screen gets the job done just fine.
Converge – “Aimless Arrow”
Massachusetts hardcore outfit Converge may have uncovered a whole new genre of horror in their latest music video. Never has an archer been so incredibly terrifying.
Coheed and Cambria – “Domino the Destitute”
The new album from Coheed and Cambria tells the fictional story of Sirius Amory, the astronomer who discovered Keywork, the beam of light that connects the planets and stars in the Heaven’s Fence universe, allowing for transportation and the generation of sustainable resources. I’m not really sure what boxing has to do with all of that, but hey, the video looks pretty cool.
deadmau5 feat. Gerard Way – “Professional Griefers”
For all of us who have ever wished we could punch Gerard Way at some point in our lives.
The Flaming Lips & Amanda Palmer – “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”
Another week, another NSFW clip from The Flaming Lips. This time, The Dresden Dolls lead singer Amanda Palmer gives us a glimpse into her bath time, nudity and all. I’d save this one for after you get home from work.
Houndmouth – “Penitentiary”
This video from Indiana newcomers Houndmouth plays like a tribute to the famous Bonnie and Clyde, only with more gritty roots-rock.
Melody’s Echo Chamber – “I Follow You”
Who said summer’s over? Hop back into the pool with Parisian psych-pop singer Melody’s Echo Chamber in her latest clip.
Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire – “Position of Passion”
Strippers are pretty commonplace in rap videos, but it’s not often that Optimus Prime makes a guest appearance (or, at least a dude in a killer Optimus Prime mask).
Sleigh Bells – “End of the Line”
I don’t care what anyone says, Alexis Krauss can pull off a nightgown. So what if it looks like it was originally intended for an elderly woman.
Yeasayer – “Longevity”
Finally, a music video that lives up to its song title.
