Prior to yesterday’s performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, The xx debuted Four Tet’s new remix of “Angels” on BBC Radio. While the original was wide and desolate-sounding, this reworking sounds more quaint and approachable, with the flutter of random synth noise filling the vast stretches of air. Jaime xx indicated the song would be released shortly as part of a 12″ also featuring his remix of a Four Tet song.
