david byrne st vincent Video: David Byrne & St. Vincent kick off tour

David Byrne and St. Vincent kicked off their tour behind Love This Giant in Minneapolis on Saturday night. And by the looks of the setlist and accompanying fan footage, it was an indie-rock version of the Watch the Throne tour. Byrne and Annie Clark performed material from their joint album plus cuts from each other’s respective catalogs, including Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place” and ”Burning Down the House”. Clark played guitar and sang backing vocals on “Burning Down the House”, and Byrne did a nice jig during “Cruel”. Take it all in below.
