Green Day appeared on Good Morning America this morning, and performed a string of tracks from their catalogue, including two from their latest LP, ¡Uno!. The brief rooftop set consisted of ”Oh Love” and “Stay the Night”, along with past classics “Holiday” and “Basket Case”.

¡Uno! arrives September 25th via Reprise Records. The band’s other two new albums, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, will be released on November 13th and January 15th, respectively.

Next month, Green Day will headline New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience, and will then embark on a lengthy North American tour starting in November. Watch video replays of the Good Morning America appearance (via The Audio Perv) and consult the full itinerary below.

Doesn’t “Green Day Plays Good Morning America” perfectly encapsulate why this band sucks these days? If their goal was to age gracefully, I’m gonna say playing pop-punk for housewives on morning television is about as far from the mark as you can get.
