Pretty much everyone’s covered it at this point, but at last night’s Global Citizen Festival, Neil Young & Crazy Horse brought out the rest of the festival’s bill — Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses, and K’Naan — to sing a ten-plus minute rendition of “Rockin’ in the Free World”. The Freedom track has long been used as a political rallying cry, and given the event’s charitable mission against poverty, it worked out just right.
Earlier in the day, the non-billed John Legend surprised audiences with a fitting performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine”. You can catch that performance below, as well.
