Earlier this week, Later… with Jools Holland returned for its 41st series, starting off in style with performances by The xx, Muse, and The Beach Boys. Tonight, the BBC aired its extended episode with even more cuts from each band.

Friday’s new performances included The xx’s “Sunset” and “Chained” off Coexist; Muse’s “Supremacy” off The 2nd Law; and The Beach Boys’ “Isn’t It Time” off That’s Why God Made the Radio. And to think, your parents used to spend Friday evenings with Crockett and Tubbs on NBC. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
