Deftones have dropped their new single, “Tempest”, off their seventh studio album, Koi No Yokan, due out November 13th via Reprise Records. Following last month’s “Leathers”, this weighty chunk of sound gets a little apocalyptic lyrically, working off a bevy of change ups that keep it from digging too deep into hell. Thankfully, vocalist Chino Moreno injects some much-needed melody in a chorus that’s just begging to abuse rock radio right now. Stream it below (via Pure Volume).
