Wu-Tang Clan met back up to knock out a new track for RZA’s upcoming film, The Man With the Iron Fists. Titled “Six Directions of Boxing”, the track starts out like an old Public Enemy anthem only to slip into Wu’s more traditional brand of thug funk. While Method Man is certainly missing, Ghostface, GZA, Cappadonna, and the others do just fine on their own, ricocheting off one another to great effect. It’s without a doubt a throwback jam, too, as their rhymes swing over instrumentation straight out of a ’70s blaxploitation film — or, you know, something Fists producer Quentino Tarantino might prefer. Stream it below and nod that head.
The Man With the Iron Fists soundtrack is out October 23rd via Soul Temple/STAX/Red. The film hits theaters on November 2nd. Currently, the film’s director is out on his own brand of press junket with gigs all across America.
