Video: Aesop Rock – “Homemade Mummy”

If you’re the type of person who’s obsessed with Xbox 360 or PS3, playing Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed till the wee hours of the morn, then pay special attention to Aesop Rock’s new video for “Homemade Mummy”. The iconic rapper and a few of his pals hit up a retro arcade for a little old-school gaming, playing a 50-year-old “test your strength” machine with factory-sized cogs and wind-up gears and trying their luck with a few turn-of-the-century coin-operated devices that tow the line between good-time and waking nightmare. All the while, without high-res graphics or nary a Nazi zombie to shoot, the group of buddies managed to have real, non-computer-aided fun in the actual world. Remind yourself of the simple life before pwnage when you watch below.

Aesop Rock’s latest album, Skelethon, is out now via Rhymesayers Entertainment.
