The 2012 B.E.T. Hip-Hop Awards took place in Atlanta, GA late last month, and finally aired on television tonight. As expected, there were a multitude of eventful performances: Kendrick Lamar previewed his major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, with live cuts of “The Recipe” (sans Dr. Dre) and “Swimming Pools (Drank)”, while 50 Cent, A Tribe Called Quest, and Missy Elliott came together to pay tribute to late music mogul Chris Lighty.
A number of our favorite upstart rappers, specifically Childish Gambino, Angel Haze, Joey Bada$$, ASAP Rocky, and ScHoolboy Q, participated in cyphers, which also aired during tonight’s broadcast. Catch ‘em all below.
