Last week, of Montreal dusted off “Propaganda”, one of four unreleased songs available as a reward to those who help fund their new documentary, Song Dynasties. Today, the band has shared an even older, pre-The Early Four Track Recordings rarity in “Dumb Acre”. Representing the very genesis of the band, the tune is a catchy garage-rock number powered by a guitar part that exudes an air of sunny simplicity and more even-keeled vocals from frontman Kevin Barnes that display very early signs of his grand theatricality.
