Sigur Rós have released another video from their ongoing “Valtari Mystery Film Experiment”. Set to the tracks ”Ekki Múkk”, “Valtari”, “Rembihnútur”, and “Varúð”, the clip features a man and a woman mimicking each other’s dance moves. As director Christian Larson explained to Nowness, “I wanted to try and make a dialogue through movement, without anyone saying anything.”

As previously reported, the band has commissioned a dozen filmmakers to create music videos for the ”Valtari Mystery Film Experiment”. Each filmmaker was given the “same modest budget and asked to create whatever comes into their head when they listen to songs from Valtari. The idea is to bypass the usual artistic approval process and allow people utmost creative freedom.” Other videos include Seraph“Ég anda” 1“Ég anda” 2Varúð 1Varúð 2“Fjögur píanó”“Rembihnútur”“Dauðalogn”, and “Ekki múkk”, in addition to Valtari Film Competition-winning “Fjögur píanó” and the People’s Choice-winning “Dauðalogn”.

The band plans to screen all 17 films on all seven continents, including Antarctica! Better yet, they plan to use some rather unconventional venues, including “hardware stores, hairdresser salons, and beyond.” Click here to see a list of the first confirmed dates and venues. The band invites fans to suggest further ideas for possible venues.
