Not only can Bradford Cox pull off a mean Joey Ramone costume, he does a pretty good job singing his songs. At Divine Fits’ October 29th show at Atlanta’s Terminal West, Cox joined the band for a cover of “53rd and 3rd”, dedicating the song to New Yorkers being affected by Hurricane Sandy before noting that “53rd and 3rd is probably underwater right now.” Though the music was a littlle more lush and had a distinct bluesy lean, Cox captures the spirit of Ramone and his punk brethren by recreating their detached calm and coolness, even with a massive smile plastered on his face for much of the tune. Watch the replay below (via Pitchfork).

Last year, Cox joined the Black Lips for a performance of “Do You Wanna Dance”, which you can catch here.
