Stars aligned last night for Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together, a telethon to benefit victims from this week’s destructive storm. Everyone from Bruce Springsteen to Sting, Billy Joel to Christina Aguilera came together to raise funds, and naturally, there were some unique, star-studded performances. One such moment was a heartfelt rendition of The Drifters’ classic “Under the Boardwalk”, which took on a whole new meaning in relation to the recent tragedies in Asbury Park. Led by Jimmy Fallon and Steven Tyler, the sentimental take also roped in Springsteen and Joel for just a dynamo collab. Replay the performance below.
