On October 25th, 1964, The Rolling Stones’ made their U.S. television debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. Last night, some 48 years later, Mick Jagger returned to the Ed Sullivan Theatre, this time to share the “10 Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years In Rock N’ Roll” for Late Night with David Letterman. So you can’t always get a performance, but Mick can still win over a crowd, especially with answers like these:

10.) “Nobody wants to hear anything from your new album”

2.) “You can’t always get what you want – like a good joke on The Top 10 List”

1.) “You start out playing rock n’ roll so you can have sex and do drugs, but you end up doing drugs so that you can still play rock n’ roll and have sex”
