Portland electro-pop outfit YACHT turns 10 years old this month, and they’re celebrating with the release of a brand new single, “Second Summer”, which comes accompanied by an animated music video directed by ADHD. Check it out below.

The band says of the video: “We’ve been unabashed fans of ADHD & Ben Jones’ work since his days with the art collective Paper Rad and jumped at the opportunity to channel his rare strain of visual damage into YACHT’s world. This video represents the ultimate manifestation of our spirit animal, the Smiangle, morphing from an impersonal signifier of mystical subtext into something completely alive, surreal, and psychotropic.”

In further celebration of the big 1-0, YACHT will throw a concert at Los Angeles’ Echoplex on December 8th, which promises “material from all eras and line-ups of the band, with special guests, surprises and prizes and party favors for the audience.”
