Disco-pop songstress Little Boots has been teasing fans since her 2009 debut, Hands. In the interim, she’s released like eight million different singles, but has given little word on her sophomore effort. Now, she’s dropped a new EP under a pseudonym of her pseudonym, prompting even Piccadilly Records to claim they’re “not sure who LB is.”
Stealthily released a few weeks ago on Piccadilly offshoot 2020Vision, the 12″ included two tracks: “Superstitious Heart” featuring production from Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford and house riser Maya Jane Coles, backed by “Whatever Sets You Free” featuring Baunz. Both songs are notably more downbeat than stuff she’s released under her un-abbreviated alias.
The A-side features five different mixes, including an instrumental, while the latter includes a dub mix. You can listen to three-minute samples of each track below (via FACT), and purchase the EP over at Piccadilly’s web-store.
