In between work on his new studio album(s), Beck is participating in Lincoln’s new campaign “Hello, Again”, where artists “transform classic works into entirely new, fresh, original creations.” For his contribution, Beck has teamed with famed director Chris Milk (Arcade Fire) for a special one-time performance of David Bowie’s “Sound and Vision” with an orchestra of 170 musicians, which will be recorded using 360º equipment and shown online February 10th.

As Beck’s website explains:

Playing on a specially constructed circular stage and working within a multi-directional sound environment, the performance will experiment with the possibilities of perspective and sound movement surrounding the audience.

Viewers will be able to move within the 360º environment and change the direction of the audio in real time. Below, you can watch a trailer for the performance.
